THE STARTING POINT

The product was strong. The revenue infrastructure was not yet built to scale it.

CacheFly had recognized technical expertise, a credible product, and a real market. It did not yet have a dedicated sales team, a defined sales process, a website that generated meaningful pipeline, or a CRM built around its own revenue operation.

Growth depended too heavily on product strength and individual effort. The apparent problem looked like lead generation. The deeper issue was that positioning, proof, outbound, CRM, sales execution, and leadership accountability were disconnected.

More campaigns would have created more activity. They would not have created a more predictable path to revenue.

WHAT PISCES CHANGED

The website, CRM, content, sales team, and active pipeline became one operating system.

Revenue operations. Pisces implemented a dedicated CRM and created cleaner visibility into opportunities, follow-up, ownership, and stalled revenue.

Sales structure. We designed the sales process, helped build the sales team, and supported active closing conversations and contract renegotiations.

Positioning and proof. Messaging was clarified for technical buyers, while case studies, whitepapers, social content, and sales enablement gave the team stronger support during the buying process.

Outbound and opportunity management. Prospecting, follow-up, and active deal management were developed as connected motions rather than isolated campaigns.

Website conversion. The site was reorganized around buyer education, credibility, and useful next steps.

THE DOCUMENTED BUSINESS OUTCOME

CacheFly grew from $2.6M to $12M after building the strategy, systems, team, and execution capacity required to scale.

The result did not come from one campaign, channel, website, or salesperson. It came from repairing the full path between market credibility and closed revenue.

Buyers received clearer information. Sales had stronger process and proof. Leadership gained visibility into what was moving and what was stalled. Marketing became accountable to pipeline and active opportunities.

The business could scale because revenue capability caught up with technical capability.

WHY IT WORKED

Technical credibility becomes revenue growth only when the revenue system can carry it.

Strong products do not sell themselves. Buyers must understand the value. Sales must follow a repeatable process. Proof must support the buying decision. Leadership must be able to see where revenue is moving or stuck.

This case shows: A technically strong company can unlock substantial growth when positioning, sales, marketing, CRM, proof, and leadership are managed as one revenue system.

It does not show: That every company will achieve the same result, that one tactic caused the growth, or that revenue transformation happens without sustained execution.

Results reflect the documented case-study period and are not guarantees of future performance.

START WITH THE CONSTRAINT

Before you add more marketing, determine whether the real constraint is demand, positioning, sales execution, revenue operations, leadership, or the system connecting them.
